Sloan is a lifelong resident of Old Lyme with a deep understanding of both the shoreline and inland neighborhoods, as well as the values and concerns of fellow residents. With hands-on experience in land use and a strong record of community involvement, Sloan is committed to protecting the character of Old Lyme through thoughtful and balanced zoning decisions.

Highlights of Service and Experience:

• Lifelong resident with deep familiarity of both waterside and land-side community needs

• Served 4 years as an Alternate on the Zoning Commission

• Narrowly lost a previous election for a full Zoning Commission seat by just 5 votes

• Helped spearhead opposition to the Halls Road Overlay proposal

• Actively looking forward to contributing to the upcoming Zoning Regulation review and rewrite

• Served 4 years on the Harbor Management Commission
