LETTER FROM THE CHAIRMAN

Welcome to the Old Lyme Republican Town Committee!  We strive for a common-sense approach to achieve a high caliber of educational and municipal services at a fair and reasonable cost to the community. We welcome your participation in our activities and working with good candidates to further our objectives. We look forward to speaking with ALL residents interested in our goals!

As an interested Old Lyme resident and taxpayer, you know that we have our work cut out for us in the coming years. Currently, Republicans are the minority party at the local selectmen and state level, and we here in Old Lyme are committed to expressing a positive message of personal responsibility, compassionate provision of required services and fiscal responsibility.

We will be working hard to have our voices heard. This includes how the town, the state, and the federal government allocates funding because at a grassroots level we all feel the crunch of the current fiscal crisis.

Old Lyme is a special place, Connecticut is a great state, and we live in the greatest nation on earth for people to succeed and be rewarded for their efforts. We need to be vigilant to keep our community strong and to do that we need your help. We are always looking for qualified people to serve on boards and committees. We continue to welcome those interested in the political process to attend a monthly meeting of the Republican Town Committee held on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:30 PM at Town Hall. Please refer to our events page for details.  2019 is a municipal election year, and your input through exchanging ideas, volunteerism, and donations help our party promote a local government that serves all of us in a responsible and accountable manner.  Come and talk to us about the many Boards and Commissions that make up our town government.  Get involved – government works when we fully participate in it.
